While I’ve been dabbling with making patterned noise since the mid-1990s, the acquisition of an Apple MacBook in 2007 and a copy of Logic Pro really solidified my “studio” efforts. While I’ve used Cakewalk, Reaper, Ableton, and Pro Tools, nothing makes as much sense to me as Logic and I highly recommend it.

For those of you who enjoy knowing how music can be made, I will now enumerate my wares.

##### Digital Audio Workstation

Studio desk

DAW: Early 2011-era 15″ Macbook Pro, 2.0 GHz i7, 8 GB RAM (vertically monolithic, care of a Henge Dock)

Outputs: For my main speakers, I use the KRK RP-8s. When I need it to be quiet and closer to my ears, I don some AudioTechnica ATH-M40FS Sony MDR-V6 ‘phones.

##### Instruments

Guitart

I’m a guitarist, first and foremost, so I’ve got a few of them in various styles:

The room I record in is a downstairs bedroom, but it works well enough for my purposes.
